Get comfortable

Sit or lie down in a comfortable position. Relax your shoulders and close your eyes if that feels okay.

Breathe in

Breathe in slowly through your nose for a count of 4.

Hold

Hold your breath gently for a count of 2.

Breathe out

Breathe out slowly through your mouth for a count of 6.

Repeat this cycle 4–6 times or for as long as it helps.
